AnCor®
Exclusive technology that redefines adhesion to biological tissues
COHESIVES designed and patented AnCor® Tech, a disruptive innovation unique in the field of scar and surgical adhesion.
Where conventional adhesives are limited to surface adhesion or coating—often ineffective— AnCor® Tech marks a major turning point : it anchors itself to the outer surface of biological tissue to create a strong bond and ensure fast, effective, and reliable sealing of surgical sutures.
A technology that ushers in a new era for surgical sutures: it boosts the surgeon's confidence.
Based on AnCor® technology, our teams have developed an adhesive light-curing applicable to biological tissues.
1.
It penetrates deep into the surface of biological tissue. (from 50 to 100 µm).
Unlike the superficial adhesion of conventional adhesives, our adhesive anchors itself into biological tissue, ensuring 9 times greater adhesion.
2.
It is activated by calibrated UV light., to strictly controlled wavelength and irradiance, ensuring a targeted and complete polymerization.
This process is completely secure : it respects the integrity of internal organs, does not cause no burns or necrosis and adapts to all anatomical areas, including the most complex ones.
3.
It undergoes rapid polymerization (≈ 60 seconds), forming a strong and stable adhesive polymer..
This immediate responsiveness is a strategic advantage in surgery : it allows for efficient closure in a short time, reduces the risk of intraoperative complications, and greatly simplifies the surgical procedure.
Result: a strong support on moist biological tissue such as lung parenchyma, intestinal epithelium, blood vessels.
Current adhesives: SURFACE ADHESION
AnCor® Technology: COHESIVES ADHESION
AnCor®, it is the meeting between technological breakthrough, effectiveness and medical accuracy.
An innovation at the crossroads of materials science and modern surgery.
AnCor® redefines the standards of adhesion in the field of wound healing.
It's more than just glue. This is the solution for replace or supplement the stitches and expand the possibilities for surgical closure in contexts where no reliable solution has been found to date.
Results & Validations
Based on its exclusive technology AnCor®, COHESIVES develops a new generation of medical devices in the field of closure of wounds, surgical incisions and the’internal tissue adhesion.
Our approach is based on patented customer-centric technology.
AnCor® technology has been the subject of 6 scientific publications, certifying:
- its performance in wet conditions,
- of his anchoring in living tissue,
- and its potential to replace or supplement conventional sutures, especially in the most demanding contexts.
Proven feature
- Tissue anchoring (50–100 µm)
- Rapid and controlled photopolymerization
- Conformability
- Superior adhesion to existing adhesives
- Sealing of surgical sutures
Proven clinical benefit
- Long-lasting wear, even in humid environments
