IS2M – Mulhouse Institute of Materials Science
At the’IS2M, we explore the world at the molecular level.
This laboratory is one of the French pillars of surface, polymer, and interface chemistry. They study how materials interact, react, assemble, or, conversely, repel each other.
Through their multidisciplinary approach, they lay the foundations for smart materials, capable of communicating with living organisms. Their expertise sheds light on the challenges of adhering to biological tissue at a level that few structures have mastered.
LVTS – Translational Vascular Research Laboratory
The LVTS (Laboratory for Vascular Translational Science) specializes in chemistry, biology, and materials for cardiovascular and tissue engineering and medical imaging, in collaboration with Bichat Hospital for clinical expertise.
Their teams combine biology, engineering, and clinical studies to anticipate the body's reactions and decipher its signals through a meticulous and demanding approach.
LBTI – Tissue Biology and Therapeutic Engineering Laboratory
The LBTI (Laboratory of Tissue Biology and Therapeutic Engineering) is a pioneer in the’tissue study healthy and pathological (skin, cartilage, teeth, corneas, mucous membranes) and in the development of innovative therapeutic strategies with high potential for tissue regeneration and the delivery of therapeutic agents (pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry).
Here, we are not talking about inert matter: we are working with the movement of life, the architecture of the body, the ability of tissue to heal. This is where science meets clinical practice, and materials take on a therapeutic function.
